MLM recruiting is one of the biggest issues I see plague network marketers. This whole ordeal can be one big pain, especially if you’re new to network marketing. But MLM recruiting is not difficult to master once you understand the psychology behind it. So I want to share with you the biggest mistake I see network marketers make when it comes to recruiting for their network marketing business.
Being needy.
This is a common mistake new reps make when trying to recruit for their MLM. Most new reps are petrified of going out day after day trying to generate new leads, so as a result they hound every lead they DO have.
Which of course gets you no where…
It only serves to make you come across as needy to your prospect, which in turn will make them view you as a person of low value. And if you come across as someone of low value to your prospects, you’ll constantly struggle to sponsor new reps.
On the other hand, though, if you demonstrate high value to your prospects they will feel attraction towards you and your business. This is THE KEY to becoming the hunted instead of the hunter, and having your phone ring off the hook with interested prospects who will beg for the opportunity to join your business.
So what’s the key to demonstrating value to your prospects?
Knowledge.
The hands-down fastest way to increasing the value you hold in your prospect’s eyes is by increasing your knowledge.
Things like how to generate leads, how to effectively turn those leads into new distributors, and much more. Because when you hold this knowledge, you hold the ability to help your prospect achieve their goal: make money.
And that, my friend, is VALUE.
But that’s really just the beginning. Because think of the impact KNOWLEDGE will have on your MLM recruiting?
If you know how to generate free network marketing leads, not only is that value in they eyes of your prospect, but it will also stop you from coming across as needy.
Think about it.
If you had 100 leads coming into your business every single day, would you really care of lead #17 said “no” to joining you?
Of course not!
So would you come across as needy to any of your leads since you have so many?
Nope!
You’ll quickly transition from trying to coax new distributors into your downline, to simply qualifying who you should spend your time on.
Because after all, you have FAR too many leads! You couldn’t possibly work with 100 new distributors a day, so instead you have to qualify who you should spend your time on!
And believe me… this will come across to your prospects in a huge way.
They’ll recognize the confidence you have. And you’ll no longer put up with objections, because as soon as one of your leads starts hemming and hawing, you’ll simply tell them,
“You know, Bob, I don’t think you’re going to be a good fit for my business. Thank you for your time”
So in other words, YOU are in control. And there is no doubt your prospects will sense this fact and act completely differently towards you.
