In fact, writing articles to get MLM Leads is one of the many killer strategies I teach inside The MLM Formula.

Why?

Because it WORKS, it’s free, and thanks to the formula I’m about to share with you it’s EASY.

In fact, this formula can be the difference between spending endless hours “spinning your wheels” with little or no results to show for it, and getting MLM leads, money, new distributors, and sales to flow into your network marketing business like clockwork, automatically.

…and I can’t stress “automatically” enough. I have articles that took me 20 minutes to write over a year ago that are still generating MLM leads for me to this day.

How’s that for some leverage?

So I want you to be able to get the same results while only spending 20 minutes of your time. And to do that, I’m going to share with you a special formula called TPMS.

No, it’s not a disease… it’s just a super powerful way to crank out high quality lead producing articles in record time.

Now the first letter in the TPMS formula is T. And that stands for “Topic”.

The first step to writing an article is to pick your topic. A lot of writers think their topic just has to be related to the keywords that they’re trying to target. But that’s not always true. It actually depends on the next letter, P.

P stands for “purpose”. When you’re developing the purpose of your article, I find it a lot easier to zero in on what I want the purpose of my article to be by using these 2 questions:

• What is the emotional impact you want to have on your reader?
• What action do you want your reader to take after they’ve read your article?

Because remember, you don’t want too broad of a purpose. You should write your articles with the intent of boosting your website’s search engine rankings, while also generating interest from your reader so that they’ll want to learn more about your products, opportunity, or whatever else you’re promoting. In other words, you’re going to turn the reader into a lead for your MLM business through the interest that you generate.

And in case you aren’t sure how you’re going to convert your reader into an MLM lead, you’re going to do that by using what’s called a Resource Box. The resource box is added to the bottom of your article, and it gives your reader the opportunity to learn more by visiting a link you provide. That link then leads them to your capture page where they can leave their contact information and become a fresh lead for your network marketing business!

Now next is M, and M stands for “main idea”. This one is pretty simple to come up with, but if you’re having trouble try answering this question: “What is the one thing you want the reader to get out of reading your article?”

Personally, I always incorporate my “main idea” in the opening paragraph of my article – often in the first sentence. And I highly recommend that you do the same. Just make sure that your main idea is direct and concise. You don’t want to try to tackle too many things in your article. Remember, you’re trying to generate interest from your prospect, and the best way to do that is to leave them wanting more (in a good way). So don’t try to cover all the bases with just one article.

Now last, but certainly not least, is S, and it stands for “supporting ideas”. This is the meat of your article. And although it sounds obvious to tell you to use supporting ideas in your article, a lot of people struggle and end up off topic because they haven’t clearly defined their supporting ideas before they start writing. Don’t let that be you. Because if you fail to have clearly defined supporting ideas you’ll only generate confusion from your reader… and confusion hardly ever converts into leads and sales for your MLM business.

And that’s it!

Pretty simple, don’t you think?

But when you use this simple formula you’ll be amazed how much faster you’ll be able to write quality, lead producing articles. In fact, I personally use this formula to write 400-600 word articles in 15-20 minutes.

Now I realize that may sound fast to you, but with practice you’ll be able to do the exact same thing. Just remember, consistency is KEY. The more articles you’re able to write and submit, the more free MLM leads you’ll have flowing into your business!

It’s bullshit. And it’s frustrating.

In fact, these “secrets”, “widgets”, and everything else cause more failure than they ever create.

Why?

Because they distract you from your CORE marketing strategies by promising you results that are all too often way too good to be true. And when the dust settles, you’ve wasted hundreds of dollars of your hard earned cash and wasted hours upon hours of your most precious resource – your time.

So in today’s post I’m going to cover the FOUNDATION of how to get free MLM leads.

The Capture Page

Learning how to build winning capture pages is the very foundation of your core strategy to generate free MLM leads.

In fact, without a winning capture page, nothing else matters. You could have 48,000 Twitter followers and 9,000 Facebook friends, but without a capture page you lack an efficient method of turning those prospects into leads for your MLM business.

Now a capture pages exists for the sole purpose of converting visitors into leads. One of the biggest mistakes I see newbie marketers make is putting WAY too much information into their capture pages.

Anything that may be distracting to your visitor should be avoided at all costs. That means no lengthy “about me” section, no long-winded explanations, and absolutely NO links for your visitors to click on.

You want your visitors to face a choice: leave their contact information (opt-in) and get to the other side, or exit the page and lose it forever. It’s this type of choice that feeds on your visitor’s fear of loss, and when you couple that with the elements I’m going to teach you right here in this post, you’ve got the recipe for endless free MLM leads!

So let’s get started…

Element 1: Your Target Market

Before you ever start to write out what your capture page should say, first decide who you are trying to target. As you learned in my free boot camp series, a descent message to the perfect audience will perform better than an awesome message to the wrong audience. So make sure you have an idea of who exactly your page is targeting. You can then quickly formulate the words on your page to best sell your bribe to that particular audience.

For example, let’s say the bribe I’m offering is a free video training series about how to be successful in network marketing. If I just created a general capture page to send my visitors to that talked generically about the free videos, I would likely never get that great of a response.

Instead, I would start by separating my visitors into different groups based on exactly what they were looking for. Some of my visitors may be interested in generating free MLM leads, others may be interested in learning how to talk to their prospects on the phone, and so on. My free videos can help with all of these issues. But I would still create a different capture page for each group of people that would talk about how my free information will help them with their specific need.

In fact, with that in mind think of how different your headline would be for each page, even though each page is selling the same thing (free videos).
If someone was interesting in generating free MLM leads, my headline may say:

“FREE Videos Reveal How To Generate A Tidal Wave Of Free MLM Leads And Explode Your Bank Account With Cash At The Exact Same Time”

If my page was targeting someone who was interested in learning how to position themselves with their prospects for better results, my headline may say:

“MLM Sponsoring Pro Reveals His Method For Sponsoring New Distributors As Quickly And Easily As Checking Your Email… All Without Facing Any Rejection!”

Notice how different my headlines are (even though they’re selling the same thing), and how each headline is specific to what each audience really wants.

Element 2: The Bribe

Your entire capture page is designed to offer your visitors something of value in return for their contact information. Some examples could be a “Free Report”, a “Boot Camp” series, or even a “Newslettter”.  So in other words, your prospects are trading their contact information in exchange for your free information.
Now the key to a successful capture page is to formulate your bribe in such a way that your prospects can’t help themselves but opt-in. The more valuable your bribe, the better response you’ll receive.

I’ve seen network marketers come up with a bribe that just plain sucks… which means the response they receive from their visitors sucks too.

So take some time to come up with what you want to offer as your bribe. Make sure that it is packed with great value, and delivers 10x what your MLM leads expect. I can’t stress that enough: OVER DELIVER and your MLM leads will turn into raving fans of you and your business.

Element 3: Keep them blind

I alluded to this just a second ago, but your capture page exists for the sole purpose of getting your visitors to leave their contact information. Therefore, anything that takes them away from this goal should be avoided. That includes hyperlinks.

Think about this example.

Let’s say that your visitor is reading your capture page and then clicks on a link that takes them to your about me page. You’ve now taken them completely off topic. And in order for you to still convert them into an MLM lead, you have to somehow get them back to your capture page and back reading your copywriting. Otherwise, they’re gone forever.

But obviously this can all be avoided by simply keeping them blind – meaning, don’t include links that they can follow. The only way for them to leave your capture page is by submitting their information in the form, or hitting their browser’s “back” button. That’s it.

Element 4: Sell the benefits

Another common mistake I see people make in their MLM lead generation is not selling the benefits to their visitors. As I explain in my bootcamp training, “If you want to sell brooms, you sell information about clean floors.”

You see, nobody who bought a broom actually wanted a broom. They wanted clean floors! Therefore, if you want to sell brooms, you should advertise information about how clean someone’s floor will be when they use the broom!

Your visitors are no different. They don’t care about the features of what you’re offering. They care about how it benefits them. So sell them the benefits!
As an example, if your bribe is a free MLM Lead generation report, here’s the difference between listing a feature or giving your visitor a benefit:

Feature: Free MLM Lead Generation Report!

Benefit: Effortlessly Generate Endless Free MLM Leads So You Can Quickly Explode Your Downline!

Do you see the difference?

If you’re having trouble turning your features into benefits, a great trick is to read your feature and think “what’s in it for me?” or “why should I care?”. Your benefit should answer that question.

Look back at my example. My feature was “Free MLM Lead Generation Report!”.

That’s great, but why should I care? What’s in it for me?

My benefit, “Effortlessly generate endless free MLM leads so you can quickly explode your downline” answers that question.

So with all of these elements in mind, it’s time for you to get busy creating your own capture pages so you can start generating endless free MLM leads. And if you’re someone who is considering buying into some new marketing technique, or forking over your cash to learn the “insider secret” some Guru is peddling… well… consider yourself saved. Your upline perhaps? The person who convinced you to join? Your network marketing training coach?

Or maybe you’ve heard a slight variation to this lie: We’re not selling, we’re sharing.

Sound familiar?

This "lie" of network marketing was engrained in you from the moment you were first introduced to your opportunity, and continued throughout your network marketing training. And as a result, it’s likely caused you tons of unecessary disappointment and frustration in your MLM prospecting efforts.

So for the sake of your sanity (and your MLM prospecting future), let’s explore why network marketers make this claim, and more importantly, let’s uncover the actual truth as it pertains to your business and future network marketing training.

Now to start, here are the 3 main theories that make up this idea:

1. Your friends or family probably use this product anyway, why wouldn’t they purchase it from you? They know you, they trust you, and they’d rather help you than give their money to someone they don’t know and trust in purchasing the same product.
2. Our product helps people. You are doing them a disservice if you do not share with them the benefits they can get from this product. Once they realize how much good it will do, they will be glad you showed them the product and purchase it from you.
3. We’re just sharing product testimonials, and recommending a product. Haven’t you ever recommended your friends go see a certain movie you liked? Or tried a certain type of ice cream you really like? You do this anyway. You are often responsible for inadvertently selling products you like yourself. You’re not changing anything, just getting paid what you deserve.

OK.

First off, a lot of people are afraid of even thinking about being anywhere near sales, much less be in sales themselves. In fact for some, sales is a borderline phobia. So the idea of taking part in network marketing training that includes sales training scares the hell out of many new distributors.

Well let me start by comforting you a little, while we also get something straight. Everyone is in sales. You may not be in sales on a commercial level, and it may not be your profession, but you sell people on a daily basis.

If you are in a relationship, you sold your significant other that you are worth their time and that it is worth it for them to be in a relationship with you.

You sold your parents that they should give you an allowance, or let you go to the movie you wanted to go see.

You sell your boss that you should get a raise at work, or time off.

So in reality we are all in sales – every minute of every day. So relax, you can do it – and as a matter of fact, you ALREADY do it!

So now that we got that straight (and hopefully eased your fear a little), let’s get back to the lie and how it pertains to your future network marketing training.

Here is the fundamental difference between selling and sharing:

Once you have something to gain – compensation of any type – you now have a vested interest in your client’s decision. Which means that you are no longer offering your "unbiased" opinion, but rather are trying to sway your client to make the decision that best benefits YOU (in other words, you’re selling them…)

As an example, when you are simply telling a friend about a cool movie you went to see, you have nothing to gain monetarily if they go see the movie too. So you have a relatively unbiased opinion. In other words, your opinion hasn’t been “purchased”.

On the other hand, when you introduce compensation into your sharing, it not only cheapens your recommendation, it turns it into that 4-letter word: sales.

Why?

For starters, when you are telling your friend to check out the new movie you saw at the theater, it’s easy. Everyone does something like this to some extent, and it’s part of our everyday life.

Think about it: Why are you sharing this movie with them?

Most often it’s because you really did enjoy it, you think they would enjoy it too, and you want them to avoid seeing some other movie and not enjoying it as much as you think they would enjoy the movie you just saw.

Now let’s try that with your fancy Juice from your MLM, or whatever product/service your opportunity offers. Why are you sharing this product with your MLM prospect?

You might think it will actually help them, but you also have something to gain. And as a result, the simple everyday action of sharing is much different – even to you. Not only does your friend see right through your ‘recommendation’, but it’s much harder for you to verbalize your sharing the same way. You feel a little awkward, maybe a little out of place, and when they don’t seem interested, it blows you away!

After all, they’re your friends and family… shouldn’t they want to give you their business?

Truth is, in some families it is enough to be related and they would give you their business no matter what. In other families, it’s not. Maybe your family doesn’t even like you, maybe they hate the products you sell, maybe they just don’t have the money – the list could go on and on.

Expecting your friends and family to purchase from you solely because they are your friends and family will lead you down the deep, dark road of lost friends and avoidance lined by Network Marketers who went down the same path.

You see, network marketing is built on the premise that sharing product experiences and recommendations is the most powerful form of marketing there is.

Which, I have to admit, is somewhat true.

Think about it: most of what you use on a daily basis – from laundry detergent, to trash bags, to dishwashing soap – you use because either you saw someone else use it, or someone personally recommended it to you.

I remember a marketing class I took in college. I was doing a research report on why people purchase certain household products. What we uncovered was that well over ½ of total sales of something like dish soap was as a result of 2nd + generation use. Meaning, for the most part, people use the products their parents/grandparents/authority figure used and they are comfortable with. You have a loyalty to that brand because you grew up using it, your parents or other authority figure in your life used it, and therefore you trust it.

This applies to things like drinking Coke vs. Pepsi, or using Cascade vs. Electrosol. The reality is you do use these products as a result of sharing, but those that shared it with you did not gain monetarily from the transaction.

Traditional network marketing training is attempting to capitalize on this type of relationship and knowledge of product usage, but they are introducing a variable that changes everything – compensation. It changes how you approach the sharing, and most of all it changes how your recommendation is received.

But there is also another huge issue when it comes to thinking the sharing model of building your business will allow you to reach your financial dreams.

Think about this: Do you think that you can reasonably make a 6-figure residual income off of the people you know?

Just to be generous, let’s assume that between friends and family you are in a “sharing” relationship with MAYBE 100 people. That would mean EVERY PERSON in your circle of influence would have to get in your opportunity – and not only just get in, but dominate the business and do what you did.

But wait – your family has the same family you do! So now what??

The point is that you cannot hope to create a large income just off of friends and family, despite what your traditional network marketing training would have you believe. Local businesses don’t expect to maintain their businesses just by their friends and family using their products/services. So if you still believe your friends and family are enough to build a sizable income through your opportunity, perhaps you should take a hint from them…

Now with that in mind, we’ve just exposed a MUCH bigger problem with MLM:

If this is not sales, and is simply sharing, then once you exhaust your sharing circle, what do you do next? (also referred to as your Circle of Influence by those in the ‘biz)

Well, from how I see it you have two choices:

Either you fail and give up on all of your dreams, or you find network marketing training that will show you how to sell and market your opportunity like a real business! That’s right – sell – the 4-letter word that is avoided by this industry more rigorously than you’re avoided by friends and family when you take the sharing approach with your MLM business.

Now at this point you may be thinking…

"So if it’s so incredibly obvious that the sharing mentality of building my business simply does not work, why in the hell does network marketing train me to do this?"

Great question. And here’s a couple of reasons:

To start with, most people hate sales. In fact, most people absolutely fear rejection. And sales is rejection on a grand stage. You must deal with rejection in order to get to a sale. And as you become more advanced, you must also learn how to turn that rejection into an actual sale.

So if Network Marketing was pitched as for what it really is – sales – it wouldn’t be an everyman’s business anymore, would it? And even worse, your upline would then have to teach – ah, oh, here it is – actual sales strategies in their network marketing training.

Not only would it take away how easy it sounds to just share these great new products you just found with your friends/neighbors, but you would suddenly question your qualification to be in such an industry – You should.

I’m not trying to scare anybody, but misunderstanding that you are really in sales only creates problems. You face rejection when you never thought you would, and you wonder why you have dismal results when you thought everything would be so simple. You get down on yourself, question your abilities, and wonder if your future in Network Marketing really is the answer you thought it was.

Let me be clear: Network Marketing can be the path to the successful future you’ve always dreamed of.

All it takes is participating in network marketing training that teaches you how to treat your MLM opportunity as a real business. As you progress, you must learn to implement real marketing strategies and harness the power of technology to grow your business in a way you never before thought possible – just like I show you here. And as a result, you’ll also reach levels of success you never before thought possible…

So where do you stand? What’s your take on the idea of sharing in network marketing?

It seems like all you do is fork over your hard earned cash, only to end up talking to some network marketing lead named “Bubba” who’s only interested in a J-O-B.

Or, maybe you get a solid lead that seems willing to listen to your company’s “plan”, so you set up a meeting.

You arrive 10 minutes early to your local Starbucks, thinking you’re about to sponsor a new distributor and get your business off the ground, but then 1 of 3 things happen:

1. Your prospect never shows up
2. They show up, you take them through “the plan” for your opportunity, but they then hit you with an avalanche of objections or flat out say they’re not interested.
3. They join on the spot, but then disappear within a month or two without ever producing for your downline

It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

I mean, you just KNOW that your opportunity has solid products, a great compensation plan, and even solid growth to show how well it’s doing – yet you just can’t seem to get a single network marketing lead give a crap.

Well the truth is your struggle has nothing to do with your opportunity, or even your network marketing leads.

It has everything to do with you.

Many of my coaching clients get offended when I tell them this fact, until they really think about the interaction that’s occurring between them and their leads.

Think about this for a second:

Why did you join your opportunity?

Is it because you’ve been waiting all your life to be a network marketing distributor?

Is it because you TRULY love your company’s products so much that you feel it’s your obligation to share them with every network marketing lead you can find?

Is it because you want to make money?

Now really think about that for a second. Because the answer to this question holds THE KEY to ending the constant sponsoring battle between you and your network marketing leads.

To start, I think it’s safe to disregard the fact that you’ve been waiting all of your life to become a network marketing distributor. I doubt that’s the case, because I still remember show and tell in the 1st grade and I can’t remember anybody standing up and talking about how they can’t wait to become a network marketer.

A fireman, police officer, or businessman perhaps – but I simply can’t recall any 6 year old talking about their aspirations to be a network marketer.

So what about products? I think for many of you, you quickly claim it’s the reason you joined your opportunity. Because almost every unsuccessful network marketer I talk to can’t shut up about how their newly discovered wild berry from India (or some other exotic place) is going to take the health industry by storm and cure everything from arthritis to cancer…

Right.

…and I suppose that’s why it’s been left up to you to spread the word.

Look, I don’t blame you for thinking your company’s products are the reason you joined your business. I mean after all, that’s what this industry is all about – sharing great products that can help enrich the lives of those around you.

…or is it.

Judging by how many distributors fail at sponsoring their network marketing leads into their downline, I’d have to say maybe not.

Now before I go any further, let me get something clear. Your failure is not your fault.

You were set up to fail from the moment you were first introduced to network marketing. This entire industry is built on the idea of sharing products with other people, and collecting a commission for your efforts. Which I admit, sounds pretty simple.

But unfortunately, it’s not. Because in reality, you aren’t sharing your products with your network marketing leads.

You’re selling your products.

Yep, I said it. YOU’RE IN SALES…the 5-letter word that’s avoided by network marketers as much as Kanye West by Taylor Swift.

Now I’ll save my rant on “why everyone on this planet is in sales every day of their lives” for a later post, so I can stay on topic… because here’s the bottom line that you need to understand.

Yes, sharing IS an incredibly powerful marketing technique. Think about how Facebook came about, or how the YouTube video “David After Dentist” has hit 54 million views at the time I’m writing this.

There’s no doubting the fact that sharing is the reason behind BOTH of their phenomenal successes.

So what’s the difference? How does sharing propel a drugged-up 7 year old into stardom, while it can’t seem to turn a single network marketing lead into a hard working member of your downline?

Well the answer is so simple, that I missed it when I first started in this industry too.

So drum roll please, because here it comes – -

Compensation.

The moment you have something to gain by sharing a product or service, is the moment it becomes selling.  And, coincidentally, it’s the moment you start getting rejected by your network marketing leads, your friends, and even your family.

Here’s what I mean.

Let’s say I shared a new gas additive I found with you, and told you all about how it made my car get an extra 10mpg. I shared that I absolutely LOVE how it makes my car run, and how my mechanic said he’s never seen anything so effective before. In fact, I even told you what store you could purchase it from.

Would you be inclined to give it a try?

Probably. I know I would if someone I trusted gave me such a glowing review.

Now what about if I told you that the only way you could get this gas additive was directly from me, and I would make a 30% profit off it.

Would you still like to order some?

I doubt it. In fact, I guarantee that you’d instantly start to discount my story. Because the moment you realize I have something to gain from your use of a product, is the moment my opinion no longer holds value in your eyes.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

The exact same thing holds true when it comes to the interaction between you and your network marketing leads.

Once they realize that you have something to gain from their purchase of the product is the moment you aren’t sharing with them – you’re selling them.

So if your network marketing leads reject you, or if your friends and family avoid you, now you know why.

You’re trying to share with them, when in reality, you’re selling them. And that just makes the whole situation weird and awkward.

So what do you do?

After all, you still want to make money.

Ah oh – did I just say make money??

Could that be the reason I’m in network marketing??

You’re damn right it is.

And it’s the reason you are too.

…and shockingly enough, it’s THE SOLUTION to getting your network marketing leads to join you.

Because here’s a shocker for you – your network marketing leads are no different than you are!

They may grow to like your company’s products, but at the end of the day they’ll be willing to become a business builder and not just a consumer for one reason and one reason only:

To make money.

…which means, if that’s the reason your network marketing leads would want to join your downline, doesn’t it make sense to sell THAT instead of your company’s products?

In other words, simply cut to the chase: show your network marketing leads how they can make money by joining YOU, since after all that’s the ONLY reason they’ll ever really be interested.

How do you do that?

You follow what I call The MLM Formula. Once you do, you’ll stop all of the silly sharing nonsense that will never bring you any results. And you’ll instead have a limitless supply of interested, targeted network marketing leads chasing YOU, and begging to join your downline – all without any hemming and hawing or any objections.
